I am thinking of Hannah this morning.  Reading these testimonies and memories shows such a clear theme.  Hannah was a source of kindness and comfort for the new kid, the outsider, the vulnerable.  I suspect she had that exact welcoming warm impact on my own daughter.  I am grateful as only a parent can be for that gift.  It’s a gift only a peer can give.  She was a light.  And her light is still shining.

In one of our projects in 8th grade, your topic focused around names. Your name means grace, or favor, and how much grace you brought. I miss you more than I think I can put into words, and sometimes crying doesn't even convey it. A couple months ago I was crying about you, and I talked to my Mom about you. She told me how blessed I was to have a Saint like you. Thank you for everything, your sun, and your joy.

Hannah was sincerely one of the most amazing people I ever met. She truly left an impact on my life, and I will forever cherish the beautiful memories we were able to make together. Life is like a book. We have different chapters in our lifetime, and in those chapters there are characters. Some characters are only in one chapter or irrelevant to the story, but some are constant. They are there through out the whole story and always seem to pop up. Hannah, that is you. You will forever be in my book and I know you will forever be with me. One of my favorite memories was when I first met you. I remember in Gillyweeds class we were sharing our favorite food and you raised your hand and said that your favorite food is lasagna. I then scream across the room saying that it was my favorite food too, you probably thought I was crazy. Another one of my favorite memories was when you signed my year book in 7th grade. You said “cut the crap all of these people are saying sweet memorable stuff, but let’s be honest, you will remember me forever”. Sometimes I hate you for not saying something sappy and memorable, and I use to just laugh at how funny it was, but now I look at it and I know that your right, I will remember you forever.  I love you so much Hannah, happy 15.💕

I’m not going to lie, life have been crap for the past year. I know that you would have made light about covid just to make people happy. You are so greatly missed by everyone and I don’t doubt that for a second. You always knew how to make someone happy ever if you were hurting inside. I hope that you are having a great time wherever you are celebrating your birthday. I’m kinda scared when they day comes when you fulfill your promise of haunting me. I truly love you and I am so glad that I had someone in my life like you💕

It has now been a year and I cannot seem to shake the sadness I feel every time I hear her name. Every time I look at a photo of her. I miss her, I miss her so much, her leaving us so soon has taught me that I need to cherish my time with people. And that I need to love everyone, that was the thing about Hannah she cared so much for everyone, I remember I would give her m sweatshirt someday in Spanish class and she would wear it around, she looked so proud to be wearing it. I never had the heart to ask for it back, but when she saw me shivering myself she would give it back. After I heard about Hannah I was overcome with grief and anger that God could take such a  beautiful person from people like me who needed her in my life, my mom told me God needed another angel, but I didn't care I wanted Hannah here with me by my side laughing with me. My only regret is that I never got to giver her a hug goodbye because of covid. I remember that was all I wanted, and that night I had a dream where I was walking down the main hall of Robison and I saw her, laughing and smiling, and I ran up to her so fast and I hugged her so tight. I didn't wanna let go but I finally did and she said to me " Don't worry silly I'll always be here". Hannah will forever be an amazing person, Happy Birthday Hannah I love you and miss you everyday. I apologize if this is too much for other loved ones.

I remember having seventh grade gym with her. I was so nervous for school because I didn't know anyone there. But when I met Hannah in gym class she made me feel so welcomed. She always included people and was so fun to talk to. Her, Kennedy and I were good friends in our gym class and I remember Hannah always asked to try and braid Kennedy's big curly hair. We had some good laughs and smiles that I won't forget. 

I remember when we had P.E together she would always beg to braid my hair and I would always tell her no and now there's not a day that goes by that I don't  regret not letting her braid my hair at least once. Hannah had such a promising future ahead of her and I want her family to know she will be deeply missed and that I truly loved her very much.

It hurts knowing that I won't get to see you in the locker bay anymore or walk to class with you. But I know this isn't the end, simply a "goodbye" for now.  Your impact is more than you may have thought. You really changed all the lives you came in contact with.  Each time I would see you, your hair was always in some cute hairstyle, and your smile was beaming. You radiated your beauty from within all the time. Your smile was as bright as your hair was long. Your love was as radiant as your laughter.
Your friendship was peaceful and kind.

One day in English this year, we talked about Catholicism and the dignity of human life. I hadn't been able to connect with very many people in those topics. But you always made me feel safe. Someone I could always turn to. No matter what I was feeling, you could make me smile. This life is temporary, a short time to say "I love you, too" to God, and I know you did that. You were a beautiful example of all that's right in the world. Standing up against injustices, and against prejudice for your faith. We aren't destined for this world, but for something beyond, and I'm so grateful that in this short time you were a part of my life. I'll miss you, but I'll see you again.

Dear Hannah's family,
Your daughter was incredible. She was a bright, shining light in a dark world. She was open-minded, loving, and accepting. I never really noticed before, but I aspire to be like her. To bring joy and friendship to all situations. To stand up for what isn't right, and love above all things. Her faith and passion were always inspirational to me. You should be very proud that you helped to create an inspiring, awesome young woman.  Her impact was one of the greatest of any person I've met, and I'm so thankful I did.

Though I wasn’t close with Hannah and we had only talked a few times, it broke my heart to hear this news. My prayers go out to all of her friends and family, always. Hannah to me was one of those people that you say hi to in the hallways sometimes, and have the occasional conversation with. She always put a smile on my face, and I would do anything to just pass by her in the locker bay again.

I am deeply saddened to hear about the suddden passing of Hannah. She made my time in health class and gym so much brighter. She helped me with my math homework and shared her chex mix with me when we were in Health class. I was introduced to her by my good friend Layla and we stuck together through it all. Every chance she got, she asked to braid my hair, I always said yes and I'm glad that I did because she was the best hair stylist a girl could ask for. Even though we only met this year, we stuck together like glue throughout the year. We joked, gossiped, and helped eachother through everything. She passed to soon but fly high Hannah. xx

I am very sad to hear about this news. Hannah, a very sweet young lady that passed way too soon. She was very talented and very smart. She made friends easily and always had a smile on her face. We were in the same history class in 7th and civics in 8th. I remembered today is her birthday. She never did anything wrong and her family should be so proud of her because she did amazing things. I miss you dearly Hannah. Rest easy.

I first met Hannah when I walked into algebra class and I didn’t know anyone. She walked up to me and asked me what my name was and how I was doing. After that every time we had algebra she would walk up to me with a big beautiful smile and say hi and ask me how my day was, which made my day. She would also help me with my math even if sometimes she didn’t get it. I will forever be grateful for her help.

I first met Hannah at the beginning of seventh grade when we were paired up together for a science field trip. She showed an amazing smile that always lit up the room. I am so glad I met her that day, she made the field trip so much fun. We never became extremely close but we would always talk and joke around. Her personality was different but in a good way. She had a great sense of humor and would always find something laugh about. Fly high Hannah.

I first saw Hannah in my eighth grade English class. She was always the type of person that would laugh along with others and she always made others happy. She had the biggest smile on her face and was super kind. 

I am sadden by the passing of Hannah. She had a spunky, sassy, and talkative attitude.  I loved that about her. She sat next to me in science class in the beginning of 8th grade. She was very talkative and very social. So, she would always talk and ask me “what are we suppose to do?” And I would always help her get caught up and sometimes we would all talk and not get any work done. But that’s okay! She was also in my Math, PE, and Civics class. She also sat next to me in Math class. And again, she would socialize with everyone around her. Joking and laughing all the time. She would help me and I would help her whenever I needed too. Having her around during PE was so fun. When we did practice pacer, she would sprint and you didn’t need to 😂. And I think that is the reason she hurt her ankle. Oh Hannah. 😂. Civics was also fun with her. We would make eye contact during the middle of class. Classes with her made everything 10x better. She was a new friend that I made outside my friend group. We would wake in the halls together sometimes and talk. And at the end of 8th period, when we are walking, when we had to part ways, I would also say “Have a good weekend.” I would always compliment her on her outfits because she had really cute outfits. She was amazing at hair. My favorite memory with her is after each class if we got done early or are packing up, we would always talk. We would talk about random things. It was great. Hannah was a great friend and so kind and funny. I loved her smile and laughing with her. 

I pray that her family and friends are doing well. God has gained another angel to soon. ❤️

Rest In Peace, Hannah! 

The first time I met Hannah was the start of seventh grade. We both shared 6th period history together with Ms. Hughes. I had no friends in class at the time, but that quickly changed. Hannah invited me over to her table and we soon began talking. We were friends for a bit, but as the year progressed, we drifted. I hadn't talked to Hannah in months until eight grade came, when we both joined the same club, League of Ladies. It was so fun being in a club with Hannah and I was saddened to hear that she had passed. We had some great moments together. Hannah was a sweet, kind, funny, talkative and extremely bright friend. I'm going to miss her and I express my condolences to the Philip family. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Hannah was one of the first new faces I met when middle school started. She was so kind, welcoming and made sure I felt like I had friends around me even though she was even newer to our school. Quickly, Hannah became one of my best friends: someone I could do math homework with, share ideas with, get things off of my chest most importantly, someone that would laugh with me until our stomachs hurt. Not only was she a best friend to me, but Hannah was kind to everyone she met. Always welcoming to a new classmate and could create such strong bonds with everyone. I look up to Hannah for her kindness and intelligence, her determination and love for others. There are so many memories I made with Hannah that I will never forget. Goofing off with our favorite teacher in 7th grade history class, taking pictures with each other randomly because we didnt want to forget the moments, and putting puzzles in the library together. Dancing around the court in gym, snickering at each other during our English class last year, and every moment I ever got to spend with Hannah. I'm so thankful to have someone in my life to make me a better person, and Hannah did. I will never forget us, and every mili-second of our life that we had together.

I was assigned to a different bus in the middle of the school year. I knew nobody until Hannah plopped down right next to me and started talking to me. And then from that day on after every school day we would just talk to each other about our day and other things, we would vent to each other about what was bothering us.  She was an outlet for me.  And I’m forever thankful for being assigned to a new bus because I got to meet Hannah.

Hannah was an amazing person, I remember the first day we met. It was the first day of school, a blue day, 3rd period Spanish with Señor Urban. We were having a fire drill and we all had to go outside, I was very nervous, because I did not have any friends in the class yet. As we were going outside for the fire drill a girl came up to me. It was Hannah, she introduced herself and I introduced myself. We started talking about anything and everything, laughing and joking around till it was time to go back inside. And after that day I was never alone again, she was always there, and I knew I had made a friend whom I would have a very long time. I remember the teacher really liked Hannah (not me so much) and she would always put me and Hannah right next to each other on the seating chart. 😂 not a good idea. But I have to say, some of those memories made in that Spanish class have to be some of the best. Then of course there was also Mrs.Gilberts class 😂 she was a trip, we all loved her. After every class during lunch we would all talk about how hilarious the class was, we made some great memories there too. Then this year Hannah and I got put in the same Spanish class once again, but we also had CREATIVE WRITING 😆😆😆 we both absolutely loved that class, I remember one of the projects we were working on where we were creating a superhero and we decided to intertwine our stories, we both got an A and it was the best story I ever wrote. Hannah even drew a model of what our characters would look like, and we would have endless conversations about little details in our story. On every free day we would always play cards together and she would most to alway win 😂. But who knew that one kind girl coming up and saying hello could blossom into a never ending friendship. I miss Hannah everyday, I particularly miss the way she never failed to make me or anyone laugh, her sense of style, IMPECCABLE, and how everyday she came in with a smile on her face ready to make people happy. 💗

For the two years I had known Hannah, she had always known how to make me laugh. Whether it was hour long FaceTime conversations of us ranting about something ridiculous or her spilling to me the latest gossip, she never tried to keep out any gory details. Hannah was intelligent, funny, caring and so much more. I used to call her the love doctor because whether she was a wing-woman or a matchmaker, she would take every relationship personally. I’m pretty sure Hannah knew me better than I knew myself. She also had a very creative side. She loved to braid my hair, show me her bullet journal, and show me her amazing art work. Hannah was an incredible person and I feel so lucky not to only have been known by her but also to have been close to her. Her laugh will always remain close to my heart. May she Rest In Peace. 

Hannah, I’ve only known you for a year in a half, but it didn’t take me long to realize how amazing and fun you were. You were so kind to everyone and always trying to make people laugh. You were so bold and confident, and that’s what people loved about you. You touched so many lives. You changed my life Hannah, and I will always remember you.
