Henrietta Blackmore Hook

On Sunday, July 16, 2017, ETTA HOOK, of Annandale, VA passed peacefully at home after a full and happy life of 96+years. Widow of Walter C. Hook, Jr, Retired Lieutenant, Fairfax County Police Department, she was predeceased by her sisters Louella Reynolds and Mary Regina Whelan and survived by her sister Eileen Heinz, her stepson, Walter C. “Ricky” (Linda) Hook, III, her children: Sally M. (William) Ryland, Roland “Rollie”(Tiffany) Hook, Cindy Hook, Debbie (Perry)Christiansen, her grandchildren: Darren, C. Taylor, Patricia Hook, Becky Stuart, Stacia Aho, Rachel Burdo, Todd Merchak, Blair and Jackson Ryland, Emily, Lindsey and Dalton Minett, and Ethan Ayers, her great-granchildren: Jessica and Tanner Hook, Patrick and Michael Stuart, Mollie Beth, Andrew and Caroline Merchak, Anika Aho, Hudson and Reagan Lynch, Clifton and Lucy Hook, Jordan Gray-Hook, Austin Jackson and her Great-Great Grandchild Lilah Hook. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Road, Springfield, VA, where a prayer service will be held at 5:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 7401 St. Michaels Lane, Annandale, VA, with a visitation from 9:45-10 a.m. Interment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Fairfax County Retired Police Association, 5625 Revercombe Ct., Fairfax, VA 22030 or St. Michael’s Catholic Church.
