Howard Calvin Hughes

Howard Calvin Hughes, age 89, a resident of Fairfax, Virginia passed away on March 13, 2012. Born in Norwood, Ohio. He was a retired Regional Director from the General Service Administration and has worked in the Federal Government for most of his life. He honorably served his country in World War II in the U.S. Coast Guard and re-enlisted in the U.S. Army and had a career for over 27 years retiring as a Captain. He will be interred with his wife Dorothy Christopher Hughes June 15, 2012. Funeral Services are Friday, June 15, 2012 at 11:00am at Demaine Funeral Home Springfield. Graveside Service will follow at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia at 1:00pm. He is survived by his two children, daughter, Melanie Hughes Green and son, Howard Christopher Hughes; six grandchildren, Richard Russell Green, Rebecca Caitlin Green, Michael Gene Smith, Jamie Lee Smith, Caitlin Hughes Olguin and Joel Christopher Hughes.
