James E Clippard

He was born on August 17, 1926 in Greenbrier, Missouri to John and Ruby (Reeves) Clippard. He married Joyce Bennett on December 17, 1949. She preceded him in death on August 9, 2013.

James retired with honor from the United States Navy after a distinguished military career. He was an avid outdoorsman and strong father figure. He was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Jillian Cotter, James and John Clippard; 1 sister, Kaye Clippard-Lampman; 3 brothers, Charles, Frank and Lonnie Clippard; 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and 4 siblings.

Funeral services for James Clippard will be held at a later date in Springfield, Virginia. Interment with military honors will take place at Arlington National Cemetery.
