Barry was a wonderful gentleman with a kind soul . How you will be missed

Barry Fields was always so welcome at our home and we looked forward to being in his presence wherever and whenever we were.  He listened so well, and had a kind and generous spirit. And a sense of irony and humor.  I have a photo where he is holding a finger puppet that looks just like him.  I believe the puppet was meant to be Sigmund Freud.  That is a funny photo.  We will miss Barry's sense of justice and fairness, his wit and his pipe and cameras.  Very much.  And we will see much of that in his family who survives.  He had a life well lived and cared greatly for his family.  It doesn't get any better than that.  We are so very sorry for your loss.

We will miss our good neighbor, Barry. We enjoyed hearing about his life and travels in our chats and especially loved his kind and patient replies to our dogs' noisy greetings through the fence. You always recognize the greatness of a person's heart in how they relate to animals! Our condolences to the lovely family he leaves behind.

How lucky I am to have known Mr. Fields.  Such an interesting and down to earth man - he made a difference in the world and leaves a wonderful legacy in each of his family who loves him so.  He will be forever missed by all who knew him.  Please accept my love and my sincere sympathy.

I will always remember that quiet man in the corner with his pipe and his cameras and his sly wit.  I know of his very interesting life though the recountings of his family, particularly my precious friend, Briana.  His was a life well lived.  I am privileged to have met him and the family he leaves behind.  He was and is greatly loved and will be missed.
