Jack was born in Arlington, VA to Ted and Betty Harrell on October 29, 1934. He married Nancy Louise Kuhn on May 27th 1989 in Annandale, VA. He graduated from La Salle University. He worked in management for the Defense Mapping Agency for over 30 years. He served in the Army. He was heavily involved in Community Theatre, working mostly with Springfield Community Theatre, but also worked with Dominion Stage, Port City Playhouse, Burke Community Theatre and Little Theatre of Alexandria. He received Alliance of Community Theatre Awards for set design, set construction, special effects, best supporting actor in a musical, director and producer.
Jack is survived by his wife of 37 years, Nancy L. Harrell, his sister Kathy McAndrew, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 30th, 2026 at St. Alban's Episcopal Church, 6800 Columbia Pike, Annandale, VA.
