On July 22, 2015, in Falls Church, VA with his daughter Annie Kiefman, family and friends by his side, John passed away from a short battle with cancer. His beloved wife, Kathryn Kiefman predeceased him in 2006. John started in the Fairfax County Library system and moved to training County employees under the County Executive. John had many interests that included family genealogy, coin collection, video production and starting his own business, but his family always came first. He will be remembered by many for his selfless, kind ways. John was a true gentleman. Funeral services will be held July 31, 2015, 11am at Demaine Funeral Home in Springfield, VA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in John’s name to the American Cancer Society.
