Gary,
I was so sorry to hear of Linda’s death.  Though I only knew her in passing during our recent shared Club Med experience, I feel privileged to have met her. Clearly you are a lucky man to have shared a life of love, caring and adventure with her. But alas, the greater the joy so too is the grief deep.  I trust your family and family of friends will bring you comfort and support as you travel on without her.  I send my heartfelt condolences to you and thank you for all the support you have provided to me as a newbie Ski Club trip leader.

Gary;   So sad to hear about Linda's passing.   In fact, I was stunned and shocked.  She was such a sweet, wonderful, supportive person.  She gave joy to so many people.   Her memory will live in the hearts of all who knew her.

Gary , I was sad to hear about Linda .She lived a long happy life to the fullest and passed away  quickly .She was a fun person to be around and always made a group more enjoyable . I know she will be missed by you and a lot of other people .Cheerful people like Linda are hard to find.

Linda always had a big smile and something positive to say about everyone. As we played tennis, waited for a tennis court, sought shelter from the sun and heat, Linda talked, laughed, and listened.  Linda had a special laugh and it seems that all of her friends mention that wonderful one-of-a-kind laugh early in any conversation about her! 
Linda always volunteered to help when it was needed. Much of our friendship revolved around food – I think of Linda, Kris, and Catherine preparing dinner for Gary to grill for our tennis weekends at the farm.   When our daughter married in 2015, Linda and Gary made a special dinner for our out-of-town family arriving early before the wedding and then they hosted the bridesmaids for lunch! We shared New Year’s Eve at the beach for many years.  Linda was with many of us as our children grew up and she never failed to keep up with them and our grandchildren.  
Linda knew how to build community around her and her family.  We have been blessed to have had her in our lives for over 30 years and she will be truly missed.  Our thoughts and prayers are with Gary and family during this difficult time.   


Ed and I share the sentiments of the numerous others who have written a message--every loved Linda.  It was impossible not to love her.  Our son, Jeremy, when we told him of Linda's passing, immediately told us how much he loved Linda.  She will be greatly missed.

Gary - my deepest condolences. We will miss her deeply. I have known Linda since 2006 at L-3 and after. Our little lunch get togethers (myself, Linda, Martha, and Barbara) while there and after were always a fun time and we will cherish the memories. 

Linda was the best thing that ever happened to my family. Marrying Gary and joining our tribe brought a bright constant addition every time we were with her. Although I moved far away 18 years ago Linda always remained in my heart and I cherish the fact my wonderful brother Gary found such happiness and comfort for over 55 years thanks to Linda. DAVID

I am practically speechless.  It’s with great effort that I write this.  Linda has been such a big part of my life for so many years, it beyond belief that she is gone.  Mary and saw her weekly for our Saturday morning coffee at Starbucks keeping touch with the events in each others lives, giving comfort and advice and sharing happy times too.  I always thought of Linda as the ultimate “Lady” and I admired her calm, sweet manner.  We were USTA tennis partners, celebrated mutual birthdays, attended “teas” at Green Spring, visited museums and shows, enjoyed group luncheons and more recently started a Book Club.  She was my pal, my confidant and my dear friend.  Saying I’ll miss her would be inadequate.  Some things will never be the same.  I’m so sorry, Gary, for your loss.  Linda will live on in our hearts forever.

Linda was a beautiful person, a loving and caring friend to all. 

My grandchildren spent many summer afternoons with Linda at Lincolnia pool and they called Linda - Linda Girl. They are now in their 20s and upon hearing of Linda’s passing my granddaughter Hannah sent a text message to me that said: “We love our Linda Girl”.

Linda is now and always will be deeply missed.  We are all so sad.

I am so very sorry for your loss.  As many have written, I remember Linda's sweet smile and calming presence.  I always appreciated her asking how each of our kids were doing with a since interest in wellbeing.

Teresa and I are so saddened to hear of Linda's passing.  She was such a joy to be around.  We fondly remember the wonder holiday's parties with all of their joy and fellowship. Heidi, Stu, Heather and Nicole were all very sad to hear of Linda's passing.  We had known her and Gary for over 45 years. They were part of our family's life and events, weekend group getaways, ladies'
lunches, book clubs, club Med trips, SCWDC ski trips, tennis parties, and activities.   She was well loved and will be missed!

Dear Gary, 

Jim and I are deeply shaken by such sad news.  Linda was a great friend to us.  Words are simply not enough to express how saddened we are.  We want you to know we are thinking of you as we celebrate the life of your beloved wife.

Linda was a beautiful, caring, and happy person, inside and outside.  She was the first person who connected me with the SCWDC tennis groups when I started to play tennis over 20 years ago and recruited me to her tennis team later.  She had a contagious laugh, a perfect manner to anyone, and was a great mentor to me.  Whenever we are at the Club Med resorts, playing tennis, or dining at her favorite restaurants, vivid memories of Linda will always remind us to be a kind, loving, and happy person.   Linda will be forever missed by us and many others.

Linda truly was both sweet and caring, just as the obituary says.  Craig and I will always remember the charm of her signature contribution to Sunday mixed doubles.  She came to join the group's happy hour when  Gary Was paying and invariably brought the same treats--a big smile and a plate of clementines.   We think of her whenever we see them.

I always admired Gary and Linda's relationship. At Holiday's, when we were all together, I remember them sitting side by side a looking so happy together. It was almost like Gary and Linda were one word. I can't remember ever seeing them separately except on a few rare occasions.

What I think of first when I think of Linda is her laugh which always made me smile because it was so different from anyone else. As a kid, I actually did an impersonation of her laugh for my parents but I'm not sure if she ever got to see it, it was out of love and admiration for her unique quality.

Linda was an absolutely wonderful person and such a big of my life growing up. I have been sharing the news of her passing with friends and new family and I am honored to mention that her and Gary were married for 55 years
