

A native of Fredericksburg, VA, Margaret was born April 16, 1933 and lived there until 1954. She graduated from James Monroe High School in 1950 and was a member of National Honor Society. She was employed at American Viscose Corporation in the Industrial Engineering Department until moving to Raleigh, NC, in 1954 where she worked as a secretary for Caterpillar Tractor Company and attended Hillsboro Business School. Subsequently, she was a secretary at Vickers-Armstrongs, a British aircraft company in Arlington, VA. She returned to work at Industrial Air Conditioning Company in Falls Church, VA, after raising a family. She retired in 1999.
Margaret enjoyed her three grandchildren, line-dancing, poetry, cooking, friends and family. She was always the life of any party, and will be remembered for her bright smile, contagious laugh, happy spirit, and the kindest heart.
Surviving family are daughter, Kennette Glassford and son-in-law, Anthony Glassford, 3 grandchildren, Denise Marie, Anthony, Jr. (Tiffany), Melanie Margaret, and one great-grandchild, Weston James.
