

Marie Carmel Muscadin, 78, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. A devoted mother, sister, grandmother, nurse, and friend to many, Marie will be remembered for her generosity, compassion, and deep love for helping others.
Marie was born on April 14, 1947, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Her early years shaped her lifelong appreciation for family, music, travel, and the joy of bringing people together. She was known as an exceptional chef who delighted in sharing her culinary talents and creating warm, welcoming spaces for loved ones and friends.
She shared a loving 51-year marriage with her husband, Dr. Jean Wilson Muscadin. Together, they built a life grounded in service, faith, and family. Marie’s kindness and strength left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her children, Farah and Wilson Jr., and her cherished grandchildren, Alexander, Jeremy, Henri, and Annia. She is also survived by seven siblings, Guy Wilson, Mireile Michel, Ketty Paul, Carl Wilson, Jean Wilson, Yvrose Wilson and Jude Wilson.
The wake will be held at Demaine Funeral Home in Springfield, VA on Friday, February 27, 2026 from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held also at Demaine Funeral Home in Springfield, on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. The burial will follow at 1:00 at Fairfax Memorial Park.
Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate her life at a reception following the burial back at the funeral home, from 2 to 4 p.m.
