Mary L. Lee

Mary Lou Lee, 95, formerly of Franconia, Va. departed this life July 14, 2017 after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s. Predeceased by husband, Howard M. Lee and parents Adolph and Elizabeth Gottsponer of St. Vincent, AR. Devoted mother of Ralph H. Lee (Maureen), Nancy L Hamilton (Carl) and Elizabeth A Lee. Four grandchildren: Becky and Jackie Lee; Jay Hamilton and Lori Hamilton Nuth (Polly). Also, six great-grandchildren: Kristeena, Alex and Madyson Hamilton; Tori, Samantha and Amelia Nuth. Mrs. Lee served with the US Navy during WWII

Mary Lou was born in Hattieville, Arkansas. She spent 4 years during World War II serving the U S Navy. She married Howard M Lee in 1946 and resided in Virginia until her passing.

Visitation Tuesday, July 18, 2017 from 9 until 10 AM at Demaine Funeral Home 5308 Backlick Road Springfield, Va.. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at St Lawrence Catholic Church, 2666 Franconia Road, Alexandria, Va 22310 at 11 AM with burial to follow at Mount Comfort Cemetery 6600 S Kings Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22306 at 12:30PM.
