Mary Frances Murray

Of Burke, VA, passed away, peacefully on February 10, 2012, in her home at Heatherwood Retirement Community. Preceded in death by her devoted husband Thomas, she is survived by her six loving children, Frances “Jinx” Oliver (Tom) of Burke VA, Thomas M. Murray (Susan) of Mt. Airy MD, JoAnne Kane (Robert) of Avon MN, Kevin Murray (Mary) of Fairfax County VA, Carole Yozamp (Scott) of St. Cloud MN, Brian Murray (Michelle) of Sykesville MD, 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, her sister Dr. Anne Pacious (Edward) of Ft. Myers FL, and many nieces and nephews.

Mary was born and raised in Washington DC, and resided with her husband Tom in Hagerstown MD for 35 years, where she was a long-time employee of the Washington County Free Library.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 17th from 2pm – 4pm and from 6pm – 8pm at Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Rd, North Springfield VA. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 18h at 10:30am at Church of the Nativity Catholic Church, 6400 Nativity Lane, Burke VA , followed by interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Washington DC.
