Nancy J. Weimer

Nancy J. Weimer, age 78, formerly of Gap, PA passed away in Springfield, VA, on her birthday, Tuesday, February 12, 2019. She was the wife of the late Stanley E. Weimer who passed away on January 16, 2019. They had celebrated 59 years of marriage on November 28th. She was born in Three Springs, PA, daughter of the late Vaughn E. & Bernice J. Rhone Stains. She was a member of Bellevue Presbyterian of Gap, where in the past she was a Sunday School Teacher and deacon. She graduated from Saltillo High School class of 1958. In the past Nancy worked for Burroughs Corporation for 2 years, International Signal & Control for 16 years and Sechan Electronics Inc. for 21 years, retiring in 2006. She enjoyed reading, crafts, scrapbooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Surviving are 3 children: Rustin V. husband of Beth Weimer of Raleigh, NC, Gregory J. husband of Kristen Weimer of Palmetto, FL, Martha J. Peter wife of Robert Swetz of Springfield, VA, 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, 7 step grandchildren, 5 step great grandchildren, sister Donna K. wife of Howard V. Locke of Mechanicsburg, PA, She was preceded in death by a brother, Larry W. Stains. Funeral service will take place at the Bellevue Presbyterian Church, 810 Newport Avenue, Gap, PA on Friday, February 22nd at 12 noon, with Pastor JT Holderman officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Friday, February 22nd from 11 a.m. until time of service. There will also be a memorial service on Saturday, February 23rd, at 10 a.m., at the Greenspring Chapel, 7420 Spring Village Drive, Springfield, VA.
