Owen Howard Griffing

We will have a Celebration of Life event for our Dad, Owen Griffing, on the Covered Patio Deck at Paradise Springs Winery (http://www.paradisespringswinery.com) in Clifton, Virginia on Thursday July 2, 2015 from 3-6 pm. There will be light hors d'oeuvres and beverages available. We have chosen this location because it is one he enjoyed visiting and it is close to nature, which suits his outdoorsman personality, and allows us all to remember him in a setting that he would enjoy. As a group, we would like to gather from 4 to 5 pm to say some words about Owen's life, and share photos and stories. The rest of the time is for us all to mingle and reminisce about our favorite times with him. Owen was not a somber man, so please feel welcome to attend in casual or brightly colored clothing, if you wish.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club of which our father was an active member (http://www.patc.net/publicview/custom/Donations/Donate.aspx).
