God blessed us with you as our neighbor. You were a supportive and gentle soul who always shouted hello and asked how I was growing up. You offered to help when I was trying to knit a sweater for the first time. What a time we (I) had! Your patience was epic. Thank you for your kindness. You will always be remembered.

Phyllis was my great aunt Fran’s sister-in-law. I remember spending some thanksgiving gatherings with her.  She was one of the kindest and most patient individuals I ever met. A truly warm and genuine lady. You are in my thoughts as well as in the thoughts of the Natalie Scolameiro family. May you Rest In Peace with Bill, Douglas, great Uncle Charlie and Mom.

Phyllis Cribbin was one of God’s nicest and sweetest creations.  She was down to earth, soft-spoken, calming and always genuinely pleasant with everyone.  I witnessed her “caring ways” many times, when I was a teacher’s aide, and often had to use the mimeograph machine that was in the principal’s outer office.  Whenever a teacher sent a student, sometimes more than one, to the office for a disciplinary reason, Phyllis was always there with a kind and understanding word, to counter the expressions of fear and upset she saw, as they waited to be called in by the principal.   
She also took a sincere interest in people.  Even years after my four children had graduated, if she saw me out and about, she would always stop to chat and ask me how they were doing, and she always asked about them by name.  Her memory was amazing. 
It was a pleasure to know her, and she will not be forgotten, but remembered fondly by my family. 
God Bless her; and may her soul now rest peacefully in His Perpetual Light.

When I think of St. Michael School, I think of Mrs. Cribbin.  She was a mainstay.  Her sweet disposition was always ready to help  a mom whose children were new to the school.  As time went on I realized that she was good friends with one of my neighbors, Paula Hughes.  I would see them and a couple of other women all pile into a car and take off having some kind of fun together.  I often thought that someday, it would be great to have those kinds of friends.  Phyllis, my dear, may you rest in the arms of Jesus, and once again see your son, “the mayor of Annandale”.

We had Cristina, Mireya & Eddie benefit from St. Michael’s School’s great teachers & its programs. Mrs. Cribbin was often our contact whenever we needed anything from the School. She was always kind & generous to us. Even after our children graduated from SM, whenever we saw her she would always ask about them by their first name in a manner so kind & charitable. We will always remember her & pray for her as we ask the Lord to take her into His loving embrace. May she rest in His peace.

Very sorry to hear the news about Mrs. Cribbin.  She was a mainstay in the Annandale community and at Saint Michael’s school, where  she worked as an administrative aid and teaching assistant for many years. Mrs. Cribbin was beloved by the staff and faculty at Saint Michael school for her good cheer, friendliness, helpfulness, and good judgment. 

Mrs. Cribbin was also a devoted friend of my late mother,  Paula Hughes a, long-time Saint Michaels teacher who died three years ago. Mom would often “enlist” Phyllis as a co-babysitter with the magic touch when Mom was taking care of her many grandchildren.
