Robert Donald Larsen

Robert Donald Larsen beloved father and grandfather passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2012. Mr. Larsen was born in Evanston, Illinois and grew up in Park Ridge and nearby met and married Joyce who predeceased him in 2010. Mr. Larsen honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and will receive honors at Arlington National Cemetery at his inurnment. He was an active member at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Annandale and served as a Eucharistic Minister and Lector. Robert was a Knight of Columbus. He was a volunteer at Inova Fairfax Hospital/ Cardiac as well. Robert Larsen is survived by his six children; Cindy Brown (Michael), Vincent Larsen (Deolinda), Gerry Larsen (Denise), Michelle Seoane (Bobby), Eric Larsen and Darlene Moore (David); grandchildren, Jeremiah, Nathan, Megan (Kevin), Holly (Caleb), Victoria, Benjamin and Glee Larsen, Robert and Jimmy Seoane, Raymond Pachnar (Heather), and David Moore; great grandson, Myles Moore; sister, Lois Cline and brother, Thomas Larsen. Robert was preceded in death also by his oldest son David Larsen. Visitation will be on Monday, September 24, 2012 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Demaine Funeral Home 5308 Backlick Rd. Springfield. A Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at 11:00am at St. Ambrose Catholic Church 3901 Woodburn Road Annandale, Virginia, 22003. A future inurnment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a date near the anniversary of Robert and Joyce’s marriage.
