Robert was a man of many names. To his wife and her family, Bobby, his children Dad, his siblings and business associates Buzzy or Buz, and then many other names such as Business, Y2K, and more. Please, in the comments when you tell your story, tell us your nickname.
Bobby was a simple man; he wanted life to run easy and wore his heart on his sleeve for those that really knew him. We always loved to go on nature walks together and in his final months, we were able to go on many. He loved to fish and never seemed to find the time, but he made that time within the last 6 weeks when he was able to drive again briefly. He was kind and caring and I never felt less than over 1000% love from him. He had his things, just like me or anyone else, and I always saw through them and knew my Bobby was in there. He did not show much anger, he showed a lot more silence, but definitely showed the kind caring man he was to me and those around him. Whenever he introduced me to someone new, they would always tell me “he really loves you” and they would continue on about the boys and how proud he is of them. I loved hearing his stories of the Civil Air Patrol and his childhood antics. He was my walking dictionary and never made me feel less because of my limited vocabulary. I felt his pain and hated it when he apologized for all I did for him so I would remind him that we are husband and wife and I love him. His story was not finished, and now I will never hear the end of it, he will always be with me in my heart and in our children.
Thank you, Bobby, thank you for being mine throughout,
Love,
Michelle
