Rob was born in London, England on May 8th, 1953. He married Ruth Rafferty on October 4th, 1986 in Annandale, Virginia. Rob spent the majority of his career in the civil service, retiring from civilian employment with the United States Coast Guard in 2015.
Rob was a devoted husband and father. He is survived by his wife Ruth, son Matt (Alena), mother Sylvia, and siblings Nick (Susan), Lee (Angela), and Kathy.
A Memorial Service will be held at Vienna Presbyterian Church, 124 Park St. NE, Vienna, VA on March 25th at 11am. Burial will follow the service and will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
