Sallie was born to William and Audie Weller of Harlingen TX. Sallie grew up and attended Southeastern University and James
Madison University. She then went on to marry Robert Davis and have 2 children. Deborah Lynn and William Robert. Besides being a wife and mother Sallie opened her own business and went on to teach the crafts she loved. Needlepoint, cross stitch, knitting. But her true passion was quilting. Sallie made hundreds of beautiful quilts and was a founding member of the Lutheran World Relief quilt ministry.It is said that her gifts of time, and talent were integral to the success of the ministry.
In addition to her crafts Sallie was an excellent cook with hundreds of different recipes many of which she would prepare to take to tailgate at Redskin games. Her and Bob were season ticket holders for over 40 years. But, she never failed to bring her brownies. They were the best!
Sallie was preceded in death by her daughter Deb, her parents Bill and Audie and her husband Bob of almost 60 years. She is survived by her loving son Billy and his wife Libby as well as 2 grandchildren Phillip and Samantha all of Fredericksburg,VA. Numerous family members as well as many friends.
