Sara Jean Zimmerman

She was born in Allentown, PA, daughter of Eugene Walters Zimmerman and Esther Seltzer Zimmerman.

As a child, she attended Seibert Evangelical Congregational Church. She is a member of St. Albans Episcopal Church in Annandale, VA.

Sara graduated from William Allen High School in 1967, and Sacred Heart Hospital School of Nursing in 1971. She obtained a B.A. from Mary Baldwin College, and a Masters degree from George Mason University.

She was a pediatric trauma nurse and Emergency Department unit educator at Children’s National Hospital, Washington, DC., and later worked at Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center.

Sara is predeceased by her parents, her sister Deborah, and her brother, Allen. She is survived by her sister, Kathryn, her brothers, Elwood and Frederick, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements are forthcoming.
