Surasit “Tom” Vailikit passed away on December 27, 2019, at the age of 70 after a battle with cancer. Tom was born on November 26th, 1949 to Surm and Somboon Vailikit and raised in Hua Hin, Thailand. Tom was the youngest of 13. Growing up he worked and developed his passion for cooking at the family restaurant on Hua Hin Beach. He attended Petchburi Teacher's College.
He came to the United States in 1972 in his early 20’s. Soon after he met the love of his life, Enna. On October 24, 1973, they were married. He worked many jobs in DC’s Chinatown over the years. From the parking lot to many of the restaurants, China Inn, China Doll, Hunan Chinatown, and Capital Q. He is survived by wife, Enna. Two brothers, Supun and Dang. Two sisters, Noi and Lek. His three sons, Toma, Lee, and Max. Four grandchildren, Steven, Lacey, Morgan, and Nate.
