Born Suzanne Elizabeth Roth in Reading, Pennsylvania on January 2nd, 1955 to Stewart and Eleanor Roth as both their second child of four and their second daughter. Suzanne is survived by her siblings, older sister Patricia and younger brothers William and David.
During childhood, after the birth of her youngest brother, Suzanne's parents divorced. Suzanne didn't let that ever deter her and she focused her resolve to care for her younger siblings, often helping protect them in their neighborhood and watching them when at home.
Suzanne started working while still in highschool at T.C. Williams at one of the wearhouses in Alexandria, Virginia. She started teaching at the computer learning center after her graduation from highschool. She was given the opportunity to teach at IBM, where she would eventually be hired full time. Suzanne would eventually move on from IBM to WorldCom and then to Discovery Communications. By this point she was a fully-fledged IT specialist, working as a Systems Analyst for Discovery Communications. She retired from her position at Discovery at the age of 65. A couple of years later, she was asked to return to her position as a contractor by a former boss and Suzanne did. Suzanne worked for Discovery Communications, now Warner Brothers-Discovery for a few more years as contractor.
Suzanne is survived by her son, and only child, Alexander Eggleston. Who was her care taker after the passing of her husband, David Eggleston. Suzanne was loved by both her own family, the Roth's, and the Eggleston family. She was especially close to her brother, Bill, and his family and her sister-in-law, Veronica (Ronnie) Eggleston and her family.
Suzanne was known for many things; her love of animals, her willingness to try new recipes, and her service to her church to name a few. What most don't know is that Suzanne was a philanthropist, donating not only to her church, but various other charities including: Doctors without Borders, The American Cancer Society, and St. Jude Hospital. She loved animals and cared so much to donate to the ASPCA and WWF. Suzanne loved cooking and baking, often trying out new recipes with her son, a passion they enjoyed together. Suzanne was very dedicated to her church, which was introduced to her by her husband. They both served on various committees, and eventually together on the Board of Directors. Their son also volunteered along side them. After David Eggleston's passing, Suzanne continued to serve the church on the Board, with Alex volunteering by her side.
Suzanne faced many hardships in her life and refused to ever let those stop her determination to keep pushing forward. With her passing, may she rest in peace.
