

Thomas Anthony Crosby, age 68, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2016. He was predeceased by his parents, Franklin C. Crosby and Dorothy Perkins Crosby. He leaves behind his wife of 46 years, Sheryll Bellotti Crosby, four children, Sunny, Kevin, Michael, and Matthew, his brother, Stephen F. Crosby of Jacksonville, FL, and nine grandchildren.
Tom was born in New London, CT, and received his BA from the University of Rhode Island, in 1969. He earned his MA in Journalism from American University in 1979 and served with the U.S. Army. He was a Vietnam Veteran assigned to the U.S. Military Assistance Command, Vietnam where he received a Combat Infantryman Badge and Bronze Star. After serving his country, Tom began his journalism career as a TV broadcaster in Georgia and the Carolinas. He joined Voice of America in 1980 where he had a distinguished career, and retired in 2006. Tom enjoyed horses, tennis, and especially his beloved dogs, Sherry and Checkers.
Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Vietnam Veterans of America or the Chance Foundation dog rescue.
