STEPHENS, Alice C. (nee Arnold), was reunited with the love of her life on August 6, 2015. She joined her husband, Eli, in heaven after 39 years of being apart. Preceded in death by her son, Dean; grandson, Mark, her sisters-Ruby Thebeau and Bertha "Sissy" Hendricks; and her parents-Evan Albert and Alta Treva (nee Kronk) Arnold, she is survived by her children Curt (Mary) Stephens, Gail Stephens, Bonnie (Butch) Hickman, Karen (Boyd) Shelton, and Cathy Asher; siblings Jean Johansen and Rev. Bud Arnold. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother of 15, great grandmother of 29, great great grandmother of 3, aunt, sister, friend, and faithful Christian
Alice worked for Lever Bros. making soap for 25 years. She spent the next 25 years serving her church as secretary. She was a dedicated member of The Freewill Baptist Church of O'Fallon. Her life centered around her family, especially the grandchildren. What time she took for herself was spent reading.
