Barbara J. Jex

Barbara Jean Jex, nee Walton, passed away on September 19, 2025, at the age of 86. She was born in Troy, Missouri, on May 15, 1939. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Marvin Jex; her parents, Louis and Mabel Walton, Ferne and Al Byers; and son-in-law, Alan Spangler.

Her daughters and their families lovingly remember her, Nancy Bentley(John Bentley),

Melissa Aubuchon, Nanette Spangler (Alan Spangler), and Heather Kunz (Larry Kunz). She is lovingly remembered by her brothers, Jack Walton (Ina Walton) and Danny Walton (Tracy Walton), and her sister, JeanAnn Boedeker (Bert Boedeker). She is the cherished grandmother of Tommy Bentley, Bradley Spangler (Anna-Carolina), Morgan Ballance (Conrad Ballance), Samantha Regino (Diana Regino), and Andrew Daiber, as well as her great-grandchildren. She is an adored aunt, great aunt, and friend.

Barb loved going to Neil Diamond concerts with her husband, Ray, and with dear friends Doug and Chloe. She looked forward to her annual Good Friday all-day shopping trip with Chloe. Barb and Ray renewed their vows in Hawaii, their favorite vacation spot. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved taking pictures of her grandchildren, and they all learned at a very early age how to smile for the camera. She enjoyed crafting, especially making gifts for her family. Her dogs were her babies, especially Pearl, who had been her constant companion since her husband, Ray, passed away.
