Briten Elliot Gilbert, age 52, of Maryland Heights, Missouri passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2023. He was born January 15, 1971. He is survived by: his children: Brittany Gilbert, Briten Gilbert, Jr. Megan Gilbert, Layne Gilbert; and his beloved Pug Athena. He is preceded in death by his mother Ella Fay Gilbert (nee: Hendrickson).
Briten was a fighter. He defeated numerous illnesses, including cancer, with a smile and tremendous fortitude. His will to defeat his physical challenges was nothing short of amazing. Through it all he taught his family so much about patience, love, strength, living in the moment, and being able to "stay gold" in the worst times of life.
