Carol Agnes Mehlen

Carol was preceded in death by her beloved parents; her husband, John Mehlen; and her two brothers, Chester Bright and Lawrence “Bud” Bright. She is survived by her devoted son, John Mehlen (Lori), and her two cherished grandsons, Kyle Mehlen and James Mehlen.

In 1958, Carol married the love of her life, John Mehlen. Their marriage was filled with love, laughter, and memories that carried her through after his passing in 1993.

Carol had a zest for life and found joy in many simple pleasures. She loved shopping trips—especially to Walmart—and dining out with her friends. A fried chicken dinner was always a special treat, and White Castle sliders held a place in her heart as a Sunday family tradition shared with her husband and son. She also enjoyed leisurely drives to Creve Coeur Lake, playing bingo with her friends at the Maryland Heights Community Center, and celebrating the holidays surrounded by family.

Above all, Carol will be remembered for her loving spirit, her warm heart, and the joy she brought to those around her.

A Visitation for Carol will be held Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home, 11101 Saint Charles Rock Road, St. Ann, MO 63074. The Funeral will occur Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 12:00 PM. The Committal will occur Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens, 2000 Pennsylvania Ave, St. Louis, MO 63133.
