

He is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Savilla (nee Hacker) Anderson, Sr.; a son, Steve Anderson; nephew, Doyle Sanders (his daughter, Tracy Harris, survives), and special friends, Marie and Kenny Wood.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Mildred (nee Bellew) Anderson; son, Gary Anderson; grandchildren, Jason, Joe, Greg (Tracy), Stacey, and Kimberly; great grandchildren, Max and Sarah; and special friends, Roy and Helen Gerlock and Carol (the late Tom) Kenny.
Cecil is a proud US Army veteran having served during World War II and fought in the 555th Anti-Aircraft Unit. He retired from McDonnell-Douglas after a long career as an expediter. He was a talented auto mechanic and spent time with his sons, camping, hunting, and fishing. He was an avid John Wayne movie enthusiast and loved the music of Johnny Cash. Cecil loved his wife, kids, and grandkids dearly and will be missed.
Friends may visit Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home on Thursday, March 19, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. Service is on Friday, March 20, 2015 at 11a.m. with Pastor Mike Trautman officiating. Private interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorials are appreciated to the Wounded Warrior Project.
