It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Crescence Lee Allen, a beloved member of the Bridgeton, Missouri community. She passed away on August 21, 2023, at the age of 71. Crescence was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Blanche Allen, and her dear sister, Judith Repke. She is survived by her devoted brother, Terry (Tere) Allen, and her loving nieces and nephews: Scott (Angie) Allen, Anna (Paul Carapella) Allen, Ginger Repke, and Eric (Theri) Repke. Crescence will always be remembered for her kindness, compassion, and dedication to her family, friends, and students.
Crescence was a lifelong learner who dedicated her career to teaching and helping others. She made a lasting impact on countless lives as a remedial and special education teacher. Her patience, compassion, and love for her students will never be forgotten. When she wasn't teaching, Crescence loved to travel and explore the world around her. She had a particular interest in architecture and enjoyed admiring the beauty of various structures. She also had a passion for the arts and found joy in creative expression through painting and appreciating different forms of artwork. Crescence was an active person who enjoyed participating in water aerobics and giving back to her community. She served as a valued board member of Bridgeton Parks, where she worked to improve the quality of life for her fellow residents.
Crescence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy as a caring sister, aunt, great aunt, great-great aunt, friend, and educator will live on forever.
A Celebration of life for Crescence will be held Friday, September 8, 2023, with a gathering from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Alexander - White - Mullen Funeral Home, followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM at the same location. Crescence will be laid to rest at Mount Lebanon Cemetery
