

Deborah Waite Howard of Maryland Heights, Missouri, passed on July 17, 2026, at 80 years old. Deb is survived by her sister Nancy Gilbert; niece Jennifer Gilbert; nephew Richard Gilbert; and step-children Patty, Jack, Debbie, Tom, and Mary Howard. She also left behind step-grandchildren Jack, John, Ben, Evelyn, Eric, and Emily Howard. Deb was an active member of the community, including life-time member of the League of Women Voters, 30-year member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, and long-time supporter and participant at the St. Louis Biome School, among numerous other philanthropic endeavors. Her duties with the League of Women Voters were that of parliamentarian, moderator for candidate forums, and narrator for ballot issues. She held the office of president of the Missouri League from 1999-2007 among other executive offices. In Deb’s 30 years with the Auxiliary, she held the positions of flotilla commander, division commander, and secretary of division. She was also responsible for vessel examinations. Deb and her husband, Jack Howard, both Coast Guard Auxiliary members, were active supports of the St. Louis Biome School. In addition, Deb was an avid Cardinals fan. Given all the lives she touched, Deb will be greatly missed.
A visitation will be held Deborah on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Alexander White Mullen Funeral Home, 11101 St. Charles Rock Rd, St. Ann, MO 63074. A service will occur at 2:00 pm at the same location with burial to follow at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, 11101 St. Charles Rock Rd, St. Ann, 63074.
