One night a woman dreamed she was walking along the beach with the Lord. As scenes of her life flashed before her, she noticed that there were two sets of footprints in the sand. She also noticed at her saddest, lowest times there were but one set of footprints. This bothered her. She asked the Lord, “Did you not promise that if I gave my heart to you that you’d be with me all the way? Then why is there but one set of footprints during the most troublesome times?” The Lord whispered, "My precious child, I love you and would never forsake you. During those times of trial and suffering, when you see but one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."
