Dolly D. McComber

Dolly D. McComber, age 91, of Maryland Heights, Missouri passed away on Friday, June 18, 2021. Dolly was born October 7, 1929 to William R. and Hazel F (nee: Hill) Knee. They have preceded her in death, as have her husband Kenneth, daughter Linda Tracy, and her siblings. She is survived by; her children: Carol (Mark) Johnson, David (Gayla) McComber; her grandchildren: Christina (Christopher) Tumbarello, Sarah (D.J.) Beal, Cortney (Matt) Wheeler; her great-grandchildren: Kierstin, Caitlin, Audrey, Blake, Claire, and Brooklyn.

Dolly enjoyed many vocations and had many interests, including: sewing WAC uniforms as a teenager during WWII, graduating from the St. Louis Police Academy, working as a bookkeeper in various clerical roles, creating and baking many wedding cakes over the years, painting courses, and finally as an older person taking computer courses (she enjoyed learning for her entire life). She was a member of Arlington United Methodist Church - where she enjoyed singing and praising the Lord. She was a devoted member of the Humane Society - where she rescued and loved several dogs over the course of her life.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society.

The family is holding a private funeral service. Dolly will be laid to rest with her beloved Kenneth at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
