Born in Kansas City, Missouri, to the late William E. and Edith (nee Green) MacKay. Dolores was a graduate of Wichita (Kansas) East High School in 1949 and married Larry S. Moreland Sr in 1950 in Kansas City. Her husband preceded her in death in 1987. She worked at the Farmers Home Administration's St. Louis office between 1972 and 1994, and also as a tax preparer in the 1960s, and again after her retirement from Federal service.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen of St. Charles; sons, Larry II of St. Peters abd Edward of St. Charles; Larry II's wife Debra of St. Peters; granddaughter Tanya Moreland of Warrenton; grandson James Moreland of St. Charles County.
Friends may call between 10am-1pm on Saturday, September 28, at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home, 11101 St Charles Rock Road, St. Ann, which is in charge of the arrangements. A graveside service and burial will be at 10am on September 30 in White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Wichita, with Hillside Funeral Home East handling arrangements there. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Heart Association.
