Dolores Marie Phelps

Dolores “Dee” Marie Phelps (nee Mohrmann) of St. Louis, MO and formerly of St. Charles, MO passed away peacefully on March 10, 2018 at Garden Villas in Chesterfield, MO at the age of 90 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Phelps; beloved son, Gene (survived by Connie) Dale; and 4 siblings. Dolores is survived by her son, Roy (Mary) Dale of Kirkwood, MO; daughter Gayle Workes (Tom Taylor) of Saint Louis,MO ; Barb Fillinger of Lee’s Summit, MO, Linda Roughton of St. Charles, MO, and Rick (Judy) Phelps of Manchester, MO; 10 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; 7 siblings; and extended family and friends.

Dolores was an avid antique collector and enjoyed spending time with her family. She retired from PET Food and in her retirement enjoyed restoring homes with her husband in the Soulard Neighborhood Historic District and the St. Charles Historic District. She was the owner of River Towne Thyme, an herb shop on Second St. in St. Charles. A loving, caring lady (GG to all of her grandchildren) who had a wonderful life and was adored by her family and friends.

A memorial service for Dolores will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 318 S. Duchesne Dr., St. Charles, MO 63301. A luncheon and fellowship will immediately follow the service. Private interment at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts are appreciated to Autism Speaks, The American Cancer Society, or the American Diabetes Association.
