Donald (Don) A. Coffman Jr., 56, entered into the presence of the Lord on February 25, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife and family, after battling a short illness. He was born at Patrick Air Force Base on January 28, 1969, to Donald A. and Judith A. (Stone) Coffman.
Don was a deeply spiritual man who was passionate about sharing God’s love with others. From a young age, you could find him reading the Bible yearning to know his Lord and Savior. He was an inspiration to all who knew him and was loved and admired by many for his faith, his deep relationship with God, his integrity, and for being such an amazing influence in the lives of others. Don did not often have an easy life as he was, among other things, born with severe hearing loss and blind in one eye. Throughout even the toughest trials in his life, Don remained strong in faith and completely dedicated to serving the Lord, counting every disadvantage as joy. A Godly man remains steadfast in his faith and overcomes challenges with perseverance. James 1:12 says, “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.” Now that Don has passed into the arms of Jesus, his physical life on earth is over but it is the beginning of an eternal and beautiful journey for him.
Don met and married his beloved wife, Deborah Ann (Debbie) Davis, 26 years ago. They had no children but were blessed with many four-legged fur babies over the years. Every morning, they would rise early before their daily activities to spend quiet time together with the Lord and read the Bible together. At the end of the day, they would always enjoy dinner together and watch a favorite program. Don always bragged about Debbie’s wonderful cooking but occasionally they would go to HuHot Mongolian Grill, one of their favorite places to eat. It wasn’t often that they veered off this routine as they found love, comfort, and peace just being together. They doted on each other and never liked being apart from each other for long periods of time. Don would often help Debbie with tasks at their pet grooming shop and then return home to take care of household chores and care for their pets. Their dog, Penny, would patiently wait for him to return home and greet him with a thump, thump, thump of her tail on the floor. When he wasn’t busy helping Debbie, he loved working at the Missouri Athletic Club and found such joy being with his friends and coworkers there. Don also loved to play Euchre with his family and had a fun, humorous, and sometimes silly side to him that they will remember with love and fondness.
Don was a member of the Online Christian Church and loved attending with Debbie every Saturday and participating in countless podcasts, recorded sermons, and church service live-streams. He grew spiritually, utilized his God-given gifts, found healing, comforted others, and fellowshipped with all who helped him grow in God’s ways.
Don joins his four grandparents and his parents in heaven. He is survived by his precious wife, Deborah Ann of Breckenridge Hills, MO; his twin sister, Robyn Borkowski, and her husband Steve, of Whitleyville, TN; his brother Raymond Coffman, and his wife Kaye, of Columbus, IN; nieces and nephews, Hollie A. Borkowski of Redmond, WA, Steven T. Borkowski of Omaha, NE, CJ Hernandez (Borkowski) of Newport News, VA, Katelyn Westmoreland (Coffman) of Pearl City, HI, Jacob Coffman of Columbus, IN, Kenzie Coffman of Columbus, IN; and numerous cousins.
