Gary Richard Schneider, Sr., age 83, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025. He was born February 3, 1942, to Armin and Marie (nee: Pretaboir) Schneider. They have preceded him in death, as have his siblings Alice Visconti and Arthur Schneider, and his longtime partner Cheryl Maxwell. Gary is survived by: his children: Gary Richard Schneider, Jr. (Amy), Michelle Schneider, Kevin Schneider (Kimi); his grandchildren: Matthew Schneider, Jeremiah Schneider, Sophie Alboszta; his brothers: Armin Schneider "Cook" (Beulah "Sam"), Donald Schneider (Jeanne); his children's mother Anna Schneider (nee: Ozga); nieces, nephews, cousins; and other relatives and friends.
Gary was a proud UAW member, with a 32 year career at General Motors. He loved fishing, bowling (having won several trophies and awards), woodworking, and horseshoes, and was a devoted St. Louis Cardinals (baseball and football) and Kansas City Chiefs fan. He loved taking his family camping and on road trips. Gary had a wonderful sense of humor - he was quick with a joke. He was a wonderful neighbor and friend, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
