George Russell Dunn III

George was preceded in death by his parents, George Dunn Jr. and Mary A. Dunn, and his brothers, Steven R. Dunn and Michael P. Dunn.

He is lovingly survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Rita Dunn; his children, George Dunn IV (Vicki), Jason Dunn, Mary Dunn (Jason Tindall), and Charles Dunn (Natalie Olive); his cherished grandchildren, Jeremy, Nicholas, Cassandra, and Silas; his siblings, Mary Murphy and Greg Dunn; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

George dedicated much of his life to serving others. He was actively involved with the Boy Scouts of America, where he proudly served as Troop Leader for Troop #288, mentoring and inspiring countless young people through his patience, leadership, and example.

He took great pride in his work throughout his career. George spent six years working at Six Flags, where he enjoyed creating memorable experiences for guests. He earlier devoted 20 years to the St. Louis Airport Marriott, earning numerous awards and recognition for his exceptional service, unwavering work ethic, and commitment to hospitality.

In his free time, George enjoyed building model cars and airplanes and spending time with his family.

George will be remembered for his kindness, dedication, and the love he shared with those around him. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the family he cherished, and the many memories that will forever be held close by those who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ASPCA or to the donor’s charity of choice in George’s memory.

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kriegshauser West Mortuary, 9450 Olive Boulevard, St. Louis, Missouri 63132.
