Other survivoris include a daughter and son-in-law Carron and Michael Douthat, a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Carrie Slaughter; and grandchildren Chad Thompson, Scott Thompson, Caylyn Miller and Timmy Slaughter.
Mr. Slaughter was a proud World War II Veteran and worked many years as a heating and air conditioning installer technician. Fishing was his favorite leisure persuit and he made annual fishing trips to Canada.
Mr. Slaughter was cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Chapel of the Cross Lutheran Church in North St. Louis County.
