EFFINGER, John A., 84, on Monday, February 16, 2015. Beloved husband of Ruth E. (nee Skubbich) Effinger; loving father of Karin Cole, Jane (Mike) Bloemer, and the late Liz Garner; dear grandfather of Christopher (Yvonne) and Ryan Garner and Juston and the late Quintin Cole; great grandfather of Hagen, Amelia, Kayla, and Caleb; dear brother, uncle, and friend to many.
His service to his country while in the Army will always be treasured . While stationed in Germany, John met Ruth and they were married on July 4, 1953. Over the last 62 years, they enjoyed the outdoors-camping and fishing with their children. John loved animals, taking great pleasure in training them. He loved the years he spent as a softball coach for his girls and of course, loved the Cardinals.
SERVICES: Visitation 10am until time of services at 1pm on Friday, February 20, 2015 at ALEXANDER-WHITE-MULLEN Funeral Home 11101 St. Charles Rock Rd., St. Ann, MO. Interment in Mount Lebanon Cemetery.
