Pryer, John (Jack) S. left this world pain free on July 16. Loving husband of Kathryn (Kathie) Pryer (Byers). Father of Tim (Diana) Pryer, Laura Sumpter, Patty (Keith) Geller, John Pryer, Tracie (Mike) Podorski. Grandfather of Jake (Ginny), Madi (Dani), Daisy (JT), Charlotte (Jeff), Christopher, Shannon (Kyle), Sam, Nick (Carla), Zoey (Gage), Lily, Elly, and Joshua, and beloved uncle and great-uncle. Known by many, loved by all. Former (Retired) Custodial Supervisor of the Ritenour School District, a 51 year member of Calvary United Church of Christ, and Former Assistant Scout Master of Boy Scout Troop 765, and lifetime recipient of the Order of the Arrow. Jack suffered greatly from Cardinal Fever (Go Cards!), and loved to fish. He enjoyed gardening and working out in the yard, and was a squirrel’s worst enemy.
A Visitation for Jack will be held Friday, July 25, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Calvary United Church Of Christ, 2501 Hartland Ave, Overland, MO 63114. The Funeral will occur Friday, July 25, 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location. The Committal will occur Friday, July 25, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, 11101 St Charles Rock Rd, Saint Ann, MO 63074.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jack's memory may be made to Crown Hospice St. Louis and Calvary United Church Of Christ.
