Dear Marian and Kids,
Joe was a hard working good man.  He took care of his family very well.  He also was a good Son and Brother.  I can remember when I was young and at home with our Mother after our Father died, Joe always made sure Mom had groceries for her and I.  If Mom needed something she couldn't afford he always helped her out.  

I Love my Borther very much and I know he is now in heaven.  His Loving Sister Donna.

Dear Marian & Family,
The Dragovich Family lived directly across the street from our family in the Coal Mine Town of Livingston IL.  Growing up together was a lot of fun, but times were tough for everyone during the Depression.  A bag of penny candy would be enough to share and put a smile on our faces.  
We had a corkball team. There were 3 on a team and we made our own corkballs (from the cork from wine bottles)  We rounded them off, then wrapped them with string & then tape, to about the size of a golf ball.  A broom stick was used for a bat.  Ali Farhat made his ball out of a piece of carrot - when my cousin Chuck hit the ball really hard, it came apart & we all chased Ali till he got home.  Our team was Joe, Dickey Heinz and me.
We hunted for Arrow Heads in a vacant lot at the end of our street.

Grew up with Joe in Livingston, IL, lived about 4 blocks from his house.  Joe and I played basketball with the "Eagles" in Livingston, IL as young boys.  I was in the Wedding Party for Joe & Marian, June 17, 1950.
I too lost my wife in Oct. 2010, after 58 years of marriage.  I'm sorry that Joe pasted on.  My very best to you.

Dear Marian & Kids,
My brother was a very respectful young adult to his elders, and very friendly.  He liked school and did well.  Joe played Basketball in grade school and High School.  Never in any trouble.  When he was young he loved to go fishing with his father, and became a great fisherman as he grew older.  I will miss him greatly.

    We were very sorry for your loss and you have all been in our thoughts and prayers. We remember fondly Jerry and Gail's wedding and my Mother and Father's 50th Anniversary party when you came to Erie to help us celebrate-both were very special times! We also remember how you and Gail collected wildflowers from around the yard and made up such beautiful bouquets for the tables.  Please take care of yourselves and continue to support each other in this time after Joe's passing.

I was so sorry to hear of Uncle Joe's passing.  Having lost my dad to a similar illness, I understand the pain you are feeling right now and wish I could take this burden from you.  Many years have passed and every time I think of my father, a smile now shares space with the tears in my eyes.  I hope that in time with your family's love for and support of each other, you too will be able to smile knowing that Uncle Joe is no longer in pain and is looking after each of you from the very best seat in the house; a house, I might add, that he most likely either built (or rehabbed) himself.
