Joseph Peter O’Connor, born in Jersey City, NJ on July 16, 1955 passed away suddenly. He is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara (nee Plunkitt) O’Connor. Joseph is survived by his father, Joseph F. O’Connor; sister, Kathleen O’Connor (Patrick Curry) of Tinton Falls, NJ; brother, James (Gina) O’Connor; nieces and nephews, Siobhan Curry, Sean (Katerina) Curry, Trevor O’Connor, and Caitlyn O’Connor; dear cousin and extended family including his theatre family.
Joseph graduated from Seton Hall University with a Degree in Communications. His theatre career flourished while at Seton Hall with the Theatre in the Round which he continued to pursue post graduate in London. Joseph continued his theatrical career which truly was his passion in life. He appeared in plays varying from New Hampshire Summer Stock, Pennsylvania, and in New York. He further continued his theatrical career in St. Louis appearing in numerous plays and then broadened his career with producing and directing. He was currently serving as the Vice President of the Clayton Community Theatre.
Visitation is on Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 10 until time of the funeral mass at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish in St. Ann. Burial is private.
