Josh, I remember you when we were so young and full of life. That is how I will always remember you. I am so lucky to have gotten to know you. I hope you are well now.

Josh, you made me laugh while living in st louis in the 90's.  Then years later we ran into each other at starbucks in fort lauderdale... It was great seeing you but before we could get together you moved back to st louis...my loss... I have many fond memories and remember a cool, fun guy with a good heart...love and miss you, Phillip...

Josh if it wasn't for you, I would have not been here today. You taught me to be strong when I was weak. You gave me a hand when I needed it and so much more. You were my best friend ever and more. Joshua this is your father it has been a couple weeks since you and I have fisaclly talked with each other. You have already gone to your New Home I want you to know your truly missed and will be for quit a long time as your journey here has come to an end your journey there you have arived. You are the second son,cousin, grandchild that has broken the skys and went into the Heavens keep an eye on us and nuge us when we have done something wrong.I personally love you son give your mother a hug and a kiss for me and tell my father , your grand father I LOVE HIM TOO. Give my sister a hug and a kiss too as she went at a younger than you at 39 which you were 42.Well I better go Son Scoot over I Will be there soon, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! YOUR FATHER.

Josh, it is still surreal that you are physically not with us. Please watch over your family. You know how hard headed they are and emotions don't seep through as easily. Pray for us as we move further in life without you here. You will truly be missed.

I know it's hard to believe as the days go by it's not easy but the days will make you strong and always remember live each day to the fullest ! I'm so glad I was in town to show my respect to your family and I am so happy I was in town during  the thanksgiving holiday 2012 to spend it with aunt Susie, Veda, Ryan, and josh it was so great to go back and always feel like you've never missed anything it's so nice with family!! The day you passed, Annette and I saw three different rainbows. We talked about you, laughed, Annette shed tears and I regrets. I regretted mostly, as I do, for not telling you how thankful I was that you struggled so much and STILL helped so many people - yet I could not help you any. Its not fair - but you were always just! You were funny. You made people think! You made people realize their own crazy behaviors. You were a mirror that we all got to see something in ourselves being around you. You raised awareness - cutting through ignorance and were able to shed light in so many areas of mental illness . Through your own struggles, you conveyed to many what they too might experience in their personal battles with recovery just by watching your examples of what to do and also what not to do. You were you - unafraid to be just that - good, bad, and sometimes downright ugly! But it was always genuine! Annette attributed one rainbow to her time with you at FLH. We attributed another smaller rainbow to the three of us being here at AWC, and what that debacle caused everyone to join, grow together and ultimately go their separate ways. We attributed the last rainbow to the time we heard that you left to OK and we both knew that we would never see you again. In total, we realized that 3 was God's number and it was God's way of telling believers that you were safe, healthy, happy, with your mother - and most of all, that you were finally at rest and that someone/something finally helped you the way you did so many.

My sweet Josh, your suffering is over now. Although my heart aches, I know yours is at peace! Give our baby girl Sasha a great big kiss for me. I love you my friend!
