Born on January 29, 1937 in Kennett, MO to William and Irene Lambert, Katherin lived a life full of grace and devotion to those she loved. In her younger years, she worked as a switchboard operator at Union Pacific Railroad where she met her future husband. Her lifetime career was as a manager of the cafeteria at Monsanto
where she was known for her work ethic, kindness, and dedication.
On March 9, 1957, she married the love of her life, Ronald Ray Metzler, and together they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and endless love for over 50 years.

She was a very proud great grandmother to 9 great grandbabies with a couple more on the way! Her home was a safe haven and her kitchen was always open. She enjoyed baking, crafting, decorating, and shopping. She will be remembered for her famous barbie doll cakes, ambrosia fruit salad, and handmade dolls. She always enjoyed hosting her large family for holiday get togethers. Later in life, you could find her at the casino playing slots with a Diet Coke by her side. Her witty humor and the unconditional love she gave every member of her family will always be remembered and cherished.
