We have truly been blessed to know Lee.  He has been a great neighbor, friend and person.  I always remember how he loved to fish the Schwede Lake.  I'm sure he went missing many a morning with his fishing pole.  Our deepest sympathies to the family.

Sue, I'm so sorry to hear about Lee. He was a great man and fun to be around. I will always remember the smile on his face and the way he loved to kid around with everyone. You and your family will be in my prayers.

Dear Aunt Sue & family,
I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of this very precious man.  I won't forget my last time to see my Great-Uncle Lee. The long distance you, Susan and he drove in traveling to Kansas City to attend Andrea's wedding was so special to us. Uncle Lee's warm presence and very bright smile is vivid in my memory. His embrace was genuine and heartfelt -- I knew he expressed appreciation and love of family in it. Of course you will miss him greatly, you are in my prayers for God's comfort and support.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family, as they remember you this week, and start the process of missing you until they see you again.

I am truly honored to have witnessed your capacity for forgiveness and acceptance of the things you could not change.  You were an inspiration to many.

I remember when you and Sue introduced me to eating squirrel after you had made an attempt to 'cull the herd' from the land you used to call "the country".  Even though that home is no longer considered to be in the country, squirrel still really does taste like chicken!  And, I tell people that - often.

One of the most important testimonies to the impact you made here on this earth is through all of your grandchildren, who you loved unconditionally.  

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the unwavering devotion you showed to my son for so many years, when he needed you most.  I pray that the love and compassion you provided to him will be payed forward -- in your memory.  

I rejoice that you are now in heaven and surrounded by those who went before you.  I will miss your bright-eyed smile.  And, I will carry with me always the memory of your transformation from a man just living a life with people in it - to an openly loving man who thoroughly enjoyed life and fully embraced people.

Uncle Lee, We will miss you! 

 You stand out in my mind as a true gentleman who has always been gentle, kind, funny, and loving. I remember through the years you loving to hunt. Since it is deer season right now in our state, makes me realize how you must have missed that activity the last few years. 

I admired the relationship you had with your devoted wife, my Aunt Sue, and your love for each other was absolutely remarkable - a forever kind of love. And, I admired the love you expressed to your children, a quiet kind of witness.

I admired the respect and love you always showed to my grandmother and to my own mother. You truly respected your elders and they adored you for that quality.

My heart aches for your family because I know how very much they will miss you. Everyone who knew you will miss you.
