

Born to Leo “Lee” and Lucille Powell Watkins in St. Louis, MO, he had one sibling, Virginia Louise. Lee was married 53 years to Ursula “Sue” Young and she survives. Also survived by biological daughter, Susan Lee (Scott) Watkins-March, two other children, Karen (Mike) Priest and Joel Lovelace. Grandchildren include Madison and Lee March, D’Arcy (Mike) Tallent, Kelley (Todd) Blank, and Dan Lovelace, three great-grandchildren Kayla Blank, Andrew Lovelace, and Zander Tallent, numerous loving nieces/nephews, and friends.
Lee left college at Washington University to enlist in the army during WWII. He worked in construction, and was a lifelong member of the Carpenters Union. He enjoyed hunting and fishing throughout his life, and will be remembered for his quick wit. He maintained his wonderful sense of humor and dignity until the end. He was a baptized believer, and will be missed immensely by those who knew and loved him.
SERVICES: Memorial service 1pm Friday, November 19, 2010 at Alexander Funeral Home, 11101 St. Charles Rock Rd., St. Ann, (739-1133) with visitation 12pm until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice, the Alzheimer’s Association, or to the American Heart Association.
