

Margaret passed away on November 25, 2025, and will be laid to rest next to Vernon on December 3, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. at the Alexander White-Mullen Funeral Home, 11101 St. Charles Rock Road, St. Ann, Missouri 63074. The family would appreciate a "family only" gravesite service.
Margaret loved flowers and was an avid flower gardener. She won an award one year for having the best flower garden in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri. Even last summer, at 91 years of age, Margaret had beautiful flower beds and baskets of flowers all over her yard, porch and carport. Her flowers were all so very gorgeous due to her tender loving care and devotion. She was also an avid reader, often reading a book a day, and she loved her family fiercely.
Preceded in death by her loving Husband, Vernon B. McCord, loving Grandson, Bradley M. McCord, Great Grandson Jaiden Opperman, Son-in-Law, Dave Opperman (Kathy), Grandson Jason R. Opperman (survived by Daughter, Nevaeh Opperman) and Beloved Son and first born child, Michael V. McCord, who died only two months prior to her death.
Margaret was survived by: Daughter Kathy R. Dwiggins (Randy) and Grandsons Joshua D. Opperman (Lauren) and Justin Opperman (Vanessa); Daughter Brenda G. Hennig (Eric) and Grandchildren Zachary D. Branson and Amber N. Branson; Daughter-in-law, Shawn E. McCord and Grandsons Mark McCord (Jenny), Robert McCord (Katie), Jeremy McCord (Shannon). She had many Great Grandchildren and two Great, Great Grandchildren.
Ruth was survived by her loving Sister, Dixie Patterson, Nieces Diana Kinsey, Deanna Albritton and Shirley Frye.
