Marguerite Louise Petry

Maggie was born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She graduated with the Class of 1958 from Regis High School.

Maggie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. Warm, fun-loving, creative, and charismatic, she had a vibrant personality that naturally drew people to her. She never met a stranger and was known for her generous spirit, genuine interest in others, and ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued. Above all, Maggie loved Jesus, and her faith guided the way she lived her life. Though she is deeply missed, we rejoice in knowing she is now whole and at peace with the Lord.

A lifelong learner with a strong work ethic, Maggie was never afraid of hard work and carried that determination throughout her life. She diligently worked to provide for and raise her children, instilling in them the strength, resilience, and perseverance that defined her.

Maggie built a meaningful and multifaceted career that reflected both her entrepreneurial spirit and her love of people. She owned and operated her interior decorating business, Maggie’s Inc., where she shared her eye for beauty and talent for creating inviting spaces. Maggie was also a seamstress. She used her creativity to make clothes, curtains, quilts and so much more. She devoted her time volunteering at Life Church and in her community. At church Maggie was actively involved in hospitality ministry and prayer groups. In her community she delivered Meals on Wheels and read to children at the local elementary school. In all she did, she brought kindness, care, and a sense of belonging to others.

She is survived by her loving family: her children Christina Lang, Alicia (Patrick) Brennan, and Kate (the late Kevin) Throgmorton; grandchildren Jonathan, Anthony, Elizabeth, Jordan, Channey, Christopher and 8 great-grandchildren. Siblings Susan Cramer, Steven Hauck, and Maryann (Don) Madison. Many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Maggie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert “Bob” (Petry), her son, Marc Sandt, her parents Blanche (McFarlane) and Arnold Hauck and siblings Mary Ann Hauck, Jeanne Bruno, Thomas Hauck, and John Hauck.

Maggie leaves behind a family and community who will forever cherish her laughter, creativity, generosity, and strength. Her life was defined by love, service, and connection, and the impact she made on those who knew her will never be forgotten.

Visitation will be held at Life Church, STL 1416 Larkin Williams Rd, Fenton, MO 63026 on Friday, October 16th, 2026, at 10:30 am, Memorial service 11:15 am.

Please join the family in the Small Auditorium after the service for a light lunch. Let us gather together to celebrate Maggie’s life with stories, laughter, and love.
