

Fortified with the sacraments of the Holy Mother Church, Mary Lou Hof passed peacefully on May 2, 2026, at the age of 87. Mary Lou was born on February 6, 1939 in Northfield, Minnesota. Mary Lou is survived by: her loving husband of 64 years Bill Hof; her children: Teri Finchamp, John Hof, Steve Hof (Tiffanie); her grandchildren: Jacob, Connor, Ben, Zander, Caden, Mason; her siblings: Christine Peters (Carl), Mark Peterson (Barb). Mary Lou is preceded in death by: her parents: Carl and Lenore (nee Peloquin) Peterson; her brother Bob Peterson (Margie survives).
Mary Lou was a devoted Catholic, and member of St. Angela Merici in Florissant, Missouri. She was also a compassionate and dedicated nurse, working at Christian Hospital Northeast for 40 years. She enjoyed sewing and cooking - she particularly loved to bake. Mary Lou and Bill loved to travel, and spend time at their home at Lake of the Ozarks. Most importantly, she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by her family and many friends, including cousins, in-laws, and numerous other acquaintances. She never met a stranger.

A memorial visitation for Mary Lou will take place on May 21, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at St. Angela Merici Cafeteria, 3860 N Hwy 67, Florissant, MO 63034. Mass will occur at 11:30 at St. Angela Merici. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 980 Graham Road, Florissant, MO 63031. A luncheon will be held after services are concluded.
