She is survived by her daughter, Andrea Jones (Nicholas Schlueter); her beloved dog, Mitzie; and her loving in-laws. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Jane Sokol, and her husband, Lawrence Jones.
Maureen had a creative and playful spirit that touched everyone around her. She loved to cross stitch, spending hours carefully bringing patterns to life with colorful threads. She enjoyed the fun and camaraderie of bingo nights and community games at her retirement community, where laughter and friendly competition were always part of the evening. Maureen also cherished outings to local restaurants, savoring good food and great conversation. She also treasured quiet moments at home with her faithful Mitzie, whose companionship brought her endless comfort and joy.
Most importantly, Maureen valued her Christian faith above all else. She sought to live each day in a way that reflected God’s love. Her life was a testament to the peace and hope she found in her Savior, and her faith was a light to those around her.
She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the joy she brought to those around her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made Maureen's honor to Humane Society of Missouri or Samaritan’s Purse.
