Monica Pickens

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Anneliese Hohberger, and her brother, Fred Hohberger Jr.

Monica is survived by her loving husband, Douglas Pickens of Florissant, Missouri; her son, Raymond Wishnask of Wilmington, North Carolina; her daughter, Jennifer (Harry) Eggemann of Granite City, Illinois; and her four cherished grandchildren, Adrianna Wishnask and Axel Wishnask of Wilmington, NC and Bryce Pope and Kaydenze Pickens of Granite City, IL

Monica retired from General Motors after 30 years of dedicated service. She found great joy in gardening and caring for her flowers. She was passionate about helping others and devoted much of her time volunteering for the homeless. She deeply loved her dog, Tillie, who brought her constant companionship and comfort.

Monica will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and the love she shared with her family and those around her.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Monica’s memory may be shared with her family.

A visitation will be held at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home, located at 11101 Saint Charles Rock Road, St. Ann, MO 63074, on January 10, 2026, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

The funeral service will follow at the same location at 1:00 pm on January 10, 2026.
